Stretford End Old Trafford. Home of Manchester United Football Club. Manchester, UK
The Stretford End is the West Stand at Old Trafford due to its proximity to the Stretford neighbourhood. Before all British stadiums were required to be all-seater stadiums, the Stretford End was where the strongest supporters would stand on terraces. This version of the Stretford End was rebuilt in the early 90s with a second tier added in 2000. Denis Law and Eric Cantona are the only two players to reach the status of “King of the Stretford End”. The two tiers gradually rise above the pitch with the unusual angled trusses allowing for column free viewing of the pitch.
