The Northam Stand St. Mary’s Stadium. Home of Southampton Football Club.
Southampton FC is my local club, not growing up in the country this by default is the team I should support. St. Mary’s replaced the quixotic The dell in DATE and is very much typical of the early 90s stadium design. A design that is very similar to Leicester City’s King Power Stadium, Sunderland’s The Stadium of Light. 30,000 is not a large stadium but the support is loyal, the club is committed to its community and that creates a really nice symbiosis between stadium, club and community it serves. Depicted here waiving red and white flags.
